Gaming @ IU has completed another great event at Briscoe Quad, wrapping up the 35th LAN War for this organization. The event was Noon Oct 27th - Noon Oct 28th, 2018.
 
 

Attendance

Attendance was excellent, with over 240 students and local attendees. Space was tight, and registration filled the space more than three weeks before the event date, and ticket reselling was a hot commodity.

Tourneys

Sponsored Tournaments hosted included Player Unknown: Battlegrounds, Rocket League, Overwatch, and League of Legends. These tournaments also featured 3D printed trophies this year, courtesy of the STC 3D Print Lab.

Sponsors

Sponsorship for the event was great, with direct financial support from the IU Funding Board which helped to keep costs down, and increased the value of the tourney prizes.

Monster Energy came through with a great energy drink supply to keep the gamers up.

Raffle support came in big as well, with prizes from Antec, Thermaltake, Western Digital, Tespa, Alienware, EVGA, AData and more. Please thank all of these great sponsors for continuing to support our organization via their twitter and facbook accounts.

All attendees were given an event shirt, dinner, and plenty of drinks throughout the event.

Issues / Followup

No major issues beyond the fact that we're very limited in space to grow in the current venue. The club is looking for ways to expand, or for a venue that can support our growth.

Event Details

IU Gaming is proud to announce their 35th LAN War event, scheduled in Briscoe for the October 27th - 28th weekend, 2018.

The event will begin at Noon, Saturday Oct. 27th, and will conclude 24 hours later at Noon Sunday. All participants are welcome for the duration, or for the length of time they are comfortable to attend.

What do I get?

All attendees are given a T-Shirt and Event Badge, and are fed dinner and drinks.

All participants have a ticket for the prize raffle, with thousands of dollars in great stuff from our sponsors.

For the safety and security of the equipment and the event, everyone present must have and wear an event badge.

What do I bring

PC Gamers will need to bring their system, monitor, and perpherials (mouse, keyboard, power cables). Headphones will be required, no speakers are allowed.

No power strips or network cables are needed/allowed, and any other device that requires power will need to be powered via USB. No additional outlets are available.
