LAN War XXXVIII at Indiana University

Gaming @ IU has completed another great event, at our great new location, the Collegiate Gym. This was the 38th LAN War for this organization, and wraps up 23 years of Gaming @ IU events. The event was 10 AM April 2nd, 2022 - 2 AM April 3rd.

Attendance

Attendance was very good, especially considering the long hiatus and continuting restrictions, with over 125 students and local attendees. Space was ample, which is a great benefit of this location.

Tourneys

Sponsored Tournaments hosted included Rocket League, Valorant, and League of Legends. These tournaments also featured laser etched trophies this year, courtesy of the Luddy School of Informatics.

Sponsors

Sponsorship for the event was great, with direct financial support from the IU Funding Board which helped to keep costs down, and increased the value of the tourney prizes. Our Platinum financial sponsor was Pier Group, who subsidied the location and power.

Pizza X also came through in a big way, providing Pizza and Tootsie Rolls for all the attendees.

Coke and Monster Energy both provided impressive stacks of drinks to keep our players hydrated and energized.

Door Prize support came in big as well, with prizes from Western Digital, Napjitsu, InWin, CDW-G, Patriot, and more. Please thank all of these great sponsors for continuing to support our organization via their twitter and facbook accounts.

All attendees were given an event shirt, dinner, and plenty of drinks throughout the event.

Issues / Followup

No major issues this round. Hopefully we'll continue in this great new venue, and grow the event back up in size!
